DDR ART GALLERY at FAC 5
On Saturday, May 25, we celebrated the latest edition of FAC Feria de Arte en Casa, the most unique and local contemporary art fair on the scene today.

Painting, sculpture, photography, drawing, illustration, digital animation, collage, hybrid arts, technological art, intervened objects, poetry… For just one day, David Heras Verde's home-studio is intervened by the creations of More than 30 artists , most of them, present at the fair.
This year, and in collaboration with the artist Le Frère , FAC, dedicates a prominent space to contemporary illustration and drawing. A major proposal that revolves around the concept of identity and addresses issues such as its cultural construction, its mixed and complex nature, the associated stereotypes, and the spaces from which they are deployed or naturalized. The exhibition presents works by Sweet and Sour Gazpacho, Sara Fratini, Eva Zaragoza and Prawn Bread , along with Le Frère's own. In addition, this group of artists will be performing live activities throughout the day, including project presentations, live drawings, improvisations, and surprising performances that are sure to be unforgettable.
Likewise, attendees will be able to discover the work of more artists who are participating for the first time: such as the mysterious pieces, between photography and painting, of Rosa Juanco ; the striking imagery of the creations of Jair Leal ; the abstract and vitalist compositions of Ana Dévora ; the sculptural and installation work of the conceptual artist Oscar Vautherin ; or an emotional video installation by Antonio Ortuño , an artist who also directs the Under the Subway Video Art Festival, which we were able to enjoy at the last edition.
To celebrate FAC's fifth anniversary, we've put together a very special commemorative selection featuring the work of some of the participating artists from previous editions. This time, you'll be able to enjoy the works of Luis Gaspar, Rosa Muñoz, Patricia Mateo, López Moral, Fueradcarta, Javier Ayuso, Miguel Ezpania, Montse Gómez Osuna, Rubén Rodrigo, Julio Falagán, Moversinmover, Raquel Lorente, Tomás Martínez Fernández and a selection from the online art gallery DDR Art Gallery formed by the artists Raúl Cassasola, David Delgado Ruiz, Evangelina Esparza, David Heras Verde, Annita Klimt, Roberto López Martín, Virginia Rivas and José Antonio Vallejo . The host will also exhibit a selection from his private collection, "Pintor Verde," which provides an interesting opportunity to delve into the interests and motivations that drive an artist to collect.
As a finishing touch to such a special edition, we will have the project “Press Play” , directed by Javier D. Guardiola . From passionate collecting to contemporary art, this unique collective initiative was born. Some of the most prominent contemporary artists are invited to work on iconic Playmobil pieces, which the public can discover throughout the house.
FAC is a multidisciplinary and collaborative fair, always held with qualitative selection criteria, where participating creators and cultural agents make decisions and express themselves with complete freedom, based on horizontality and flexibility. These aspects are undoubtedly reflected in the excellent atmosphere created, which makes FAC stand out as a very special experience for all audiences.
