Jose Quintanilla was born in Yecla, Murcia, in 1963. He lives and works in Madrid, Spain.

After leaving the School of Technical Architecture, he studied Art Direction at the CEV (Centre for Contemporary Art) in Madrid. For over 20 years, he worked for clients such as Philips, Citibank, Amnesty International, Total, Vichy Laboratories, and others, developing extensive experience in photography, image editing, and digital printing.

Self-taught as a photographer, he has attended numerous workshops with Fernando Puche, Rosa Vázquez, David Jiménez, Bleda y Rosa, Luis González Palma, and others. He also has a significant teaching career, giving courses and workshops at festivals and photography schools such as EFTI and La Máquina.

He currently directs the Digigraphic Workshop in Madrid, a digital laboratory specializing in authorial works, certified by Hahnemuhle, Canson, and Epson.

His photographic work focuses on landscape photography, understood as the relationship between man and the territory that surrounds him, space and nature, the passage of time, memory and the imprint of the past.
