BIO & STATEMENT

Armando de la Garza Born in the city of Monterrey, Nuevo León in 1973, he began his painting studies at a very young age, but it was not until 1995 when he finished his degree in architecture that he began his professional career in the art world.

He has exhibited in more than 40 group shows in the USA, France, Austria, the Czech Republic, Hong Kong, Australia, Italy, Spain, and Mexico. He has exhibited individually on more than 25 occasions, highlighting “in any place that this can be found” at Ginocchio Gallery in Mexico City, “Once Upon a Time” at the Center for the Arts in Monterrey, “ID” at Emma Molina Gallery, San Pedro Garza, Guatemala; “The Misfortunes of Virtue” at Oblyon Gallery, Barcelona, ​​Spain; “Horror Vacui” at Isabel Croxatto Gallery, Santiago de Chile; “Portraits of the Court” at the Once alternative gallery; and “Biotá” at Area Cretiva 42 in Rivarolo, Italy, among others. He has received various awards, such as the acquisition prize at the 18th Nuevoleonesa Plastic Review and first place at the first biennial of the German Cultural Center, as well as selections at the 9th FEMSA Biennial and in different editions of the Nuevoleonesa Plastic Review, and the National Meeting of Young Art, among others.
