Giovanni Sartori, in his work, warns about the impoverishment of understanding and the loss of the capacity for abstraction. Both of these facts would be caused by the primacy of image(the television) on the written word. 
Toys are an essential concept, and they take on their greatest value in the context of human development. It is through toys that children explore, discover, learn, and interact with the many objects and problems that form an important part of their proper development as individuals. 
The companion becomes a screen onto which their own emotional states are projected, which can then be articulated and managed. Stuffed animals are there when children feel left alone; they provide a firm footing and function as conversation partners, thus contributing to psychological resilience. 
For children, their companion has a personality and is almost alive. Intuitively, they attribute feelings and a personal will to it. In fact, they establish an imaginary relationship. ( “ relationship to social») , which allows the child to experience. 
Without embargo In the current era, play has become subject to large corporations and big brands that use toys to promote a way of life, setting patterns and consumer habits, leaving no room for this relationship since the product takes the lead. 
Nowadays, the ideal companion models personify something with their presentation, with the material and with the references ( by e.g. a TV show). Dolls have a skin color, stuffed animals refer to specific types of animals, and characters refer to specific shows, etc. . 
Through these works, I propose the symbiosis between children, brands, and games, the latter two of which are responsible for alienating the child's systems and limiting their system of social relationships. 
Changing it, transforming it to such an extent that its very childhood is disfigured. That is, it prepares the child for a new role, and what remains is the collaged creation of different habits, consumers. The The child is ultimately left behind in the tangle, the dislocation of the manipulation suffered and so can serve as a kind of product communicator and mediator between parents and children. 
The child, behind the created mask of false childhood, becomes a series, a reference of catalog , a kind of avatar or graphic representation, completely distorted, that is associated with a user for future identification in their demand. BIO & STATEMENT 

Roberto López Martín.Madrid.1982.

A graduate in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid, he also holds a Master's degree in Art and Creation from the same university. As a multidisciplinary artist, he works with different media such as sculpture, painting, video, and photography, combining them to immerse the viewer in his work.  

His work deals with the spread of the abnormal, which almost always has the objective of spreading the norm, but, in addition, it creates that fascination with discovering that new form that we are observing, we could consider it as voyeurism towards the morbid.  

Today, the debate about what is beautiful or normal, and what is ugly and monstrous, is a question of which figures are natural monsters or constructed monsters. Roberto works by analyzing the codes embedded in mass media images, always working with representations that can often be iconic and indisputably manipulated, within a social consensus.  

Performance, video, photography, painting—all can be part of a collage of information, which serves to speak about these images, about how this degeneration and their reinterpretation for use and consumption occur. A performance that presents itself as an enormous, indisputable, irreversible positivity.  

Despite his youth, in 2022 he published his book called Etopeyas, he has participated in different projects such as One Project by Art Madrid 2020 and in 2022, 2023, 2024 Estampa 2022, 2023, 2024 at the international contemporary art fair of Castelló 2019 (Marte) and Just XL 2019 in Lisbon, International Engraving and Art Fair (Fig Bilbao 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023), La Distinction Art Fair 2020.  

He has already participated in several group exhibitions at museums such as the MACVAC Museum in Vilafamés – Vicente Aguilera Cerní Contemporary Art Museum, “Estudio 120m”, a group exhibition at the Wurth Museum, La Rioja, and the group exhibition “II Salón de las vanidades: Barroco Nuevo”, Ducal Palace of El Carpio, Córdoba. 2019–2012 Selected for the Exhibition Program at the Tomás y Valiente Art and Exhibition Center, Fuenlabrada, Madrid. International exhibitions include Proyector, International Video Art Festival - Spain-Latía-Portugal. “Etopeyas” Exhibition at the La Toma Gallery, Rosario, Argentina; and Galleri Ocampo, Malmö, Sweden.  

Various media outlets have highlighted this artist's career with acquisitions by private collectors in Sweden, Argentina, Mexico, the United States, and Spain.
