Title: KOI #266.
Series: KOI.
Artist: Rinat Izhak.
Description:
"Koi" is a series born from observing life moving within silence. The "Koi" series originates from the artist's childhood memory: her father used to be mesmerized watching his aquarium, and she, in turn, observed the calm and serenity those fish conveyed to him. Years later, during a trip, this memory was reactivated when she found a pond. Watching the koi fish, gliding through murky waters, creating a hypnotic dance of light and shadow, reminds us that even in the darkest places there is movement, life, and hope. The artist captures these fleeting moments on her canvases where light emerges from the gloom, evoking the healing power of nature and the resurgence found in the invisible. In Japanese culture, koi symbolize healing, transformation, and renewal, qualities that permeate each of these works. With fluid brushstrokes, Rinat Izhak translates that essence, offering the viewer a contemplative experience that inspires calm and resilience, also perfect for environments dedicated to well-being and healing.
