BIO.
Spanish creator, born in Israel. Self-taught artist with an honors degree in Architecture from UPC in Barcelona and the University of Budapest. Her architectural training provides her with a key tool for her artistic projects, allowing her to create integral visual and sensory experiences.
Over almost three decades, she has gained recognition in important cultural institutions and has received support and grants for the development of artistic projects focused on environmental and complex works, in which more than 3,000 people have participated and which have been visited by more than 50,000 spectators.
For over twenty years, she developed personal series in her studio in parallel, away from public view. Only recently, after a collector visited, acquired her works, and encouraged her to exhibit her series, this work has begun to come to light, revealing a painting that combines strength and delicacy.
She is currently represented by DDR Gallery.
Statement.
Since 1998, I have been investigating the profound relationship between nature, space, and human beings.
My work stems from a careful listening to what is not visible, to bodily memory, to inner silence, and to the subtle tensions that exist between things.
My travels through Africa, India, Europe, the United States, and Latin America have formed a living archive of sensations within me: light, color, texture, movement, and aroma. From this internal bank, I work in the studio, not from pre-existing images, but by translating physical and emotional experience into visual language.
Each series is born from a careful listening to what emerges from silence. Each one calls for its own materials and techniques until its language is revealed.
Since 2007, I have been continuously researching painting with Japanese ink, working in delicate layers that open a dialogue between the visible and the invisible. The rapid brushstrokes create works that appear abstract and sensory up close, and reveal themselves as figurative images from afar, an oscillation that evokes the experience of observing elements of nature like a leaf or a stone.
I conceive creation as a living space built between the work, the viewer, and the place that hosts it.
Art for me is not an object; it is a door.
A door through which each viewer can enter their own inner space, discover a new layer, a memory, a sensation.
In my works, I seek to paint the invisible and activate what already exists in the viewer's consciousness.
