Palito Dominguín

[ BIO - STATEMENT - ARTISTIC CV ]

BIO.

Since childhood, Palito Dominguín has been surrounded by art and creativity. She grew up in an environment where imagining, playing, and creating were part of daily life, and this influence led her to develop her own artistic language. At 15, she moved to England to study art and photography, training at the prestigious Arts University Bournemouth (AUB). She has exhibited her work in England and Spain, but her goal is to continue exploring new territories, both physical and creative.

Palito is a world-builder. Through a free exploration of materials and techniques, she brings to life characters, objects, and scenarios that reflect the boundless imagination of childhood.

Statement.

Palito Dominguin cannot remember a time in her life when art was not present. Creating is not a decision; it is a way of existing.

Her practice stems from an almost primitive impulse: to see and do things as a child again. To unlearn what has been imposed, to strip away the unnecessary, to reduce to the essential. In this gesture, her work becomes something intimate, close, almost familiar.

Her seemingly simple images hide a clear intention: to open a space for direct connection. There are no barriers or complex codes, only an invitation to feel. For this reason, her work is capable of transcending ages, of connecting with the gaze of a child and the memory of an adult at the same time.

In a world saturated with noise and complexity, Palito proposes the opposite: to stop. To look. To recognize. Her compositions function as a refuge, a place where simplicity is not absence, but depth.

Her work seeks to maintain a place of innocence within the chaotic.
