[ #InsideOut ] Because you were born of the people, the people love you.

"Erritik sortu ziñalako maite zaitu erriak" (You were born among the people, but the people love you). It's part of the anthem of the @athleticclub de Bilbao and means: "Because you were born among the people, the people love you."

The arch of the old San Mamés stadium in Bilbao has been a legendary and recurring image of our football for decades. It is a focal point of local, national, and international football events, music concerts, and political rallies.

I was lucky enough to say goodbye to the old Stadium a few days before Its demolition. I made a documentary series where I captured the emptiness of its stands, the green of its grass, and the echo of the cheers of a hundred years of history.

Now, I wish to pay homage to “The Cathedral” with its arch lit under a starry sky, where the Saint protects the lions of San Mamés.
