Children-Tele: The New Homosexual – Roberto López Martín

Roberto López Martín (Madrid, 1982) brings his Avatars, the Tele-Children, to CEART. This long-running project, which the artist has been working on since 2015, continues to grow.

Roberto López Martín has reached an unparalleled creative maturity at a very young age, with a highly intense discourse that is expressed in subtle, emotionally charged pieces, hand-woven in keeping with his family heritage.

Roberto López Martín combines all his critical thinking in these sculptures of mute, blind, and seemingly detained children, who mutate into the product of new consumers within contemporary society, where capitalism creates new producer-consumers, instead of citizens raised from childhood to be emotionally balanced.

This series will be part of the Gallery's stand at the Just Lisboa 2019 International Contemporary Art Fair.
