Miradas en Femenino is not a space exclusively for women, but rather a free space where the figure of women achieves equality with the understanding and collaboration of both sexes united.

WOMEN AS ARTISTS
FEMININE LOOKS at MULAFEST 2018.
The history of art has been dominated by countless women. They have been, above all, the models and muses of these artists. The protagonists of some of the most important paintings of all time. However, after a review of the history of Western art, we find that women have rarely been present as active subjects, usually being exposed on the canvas.
Congratulations Annita Klimt!!

Feminine Perspectives is MULAFEST's proposal to give visibility to women not only as muses but also as artists.
The urban trends festival creates in this seventh edition
a space where women will be present through different disciplines, always as active subjects, as creators, interpreters, or performers.
The Miradas en Femenino space will host exhibitions, performances, talks, roundtables, and lectures by women in the cultural and art industries over the three days of the festival. It will also host workshops and participatory sessions.
SO YOU DON'T MISS ANYTHING AT MULAFEST 2018
Perfect guide to not getting lost at Mulafest:
Friday 22nd: Exhibitions, workshops, poetry, photography and music
On Friday the 22nd, the festival begins at 12 noon. Early risers might want to take a stroll through Pavilion 2 to discover the T-shirt Project and the two exhibitions featuring this garment: one centered on the "Keith Haring Universe" and the other, "Hope: T-shirts Against HIV," featuring 42 pieces created by different artists, including one by Yoko Ono. The same pavilion will also feature the finalist works from the 5th DGT Illustration Competition, printed on T-shirts, and the designs selected for the 1st Fashion Competition for New Talents.
The event begins at 12:45 p.m. in the "Feminine Perspectives" space (Hall 2), created to give a voice to women as artists and creators. If for years women have been merely muses or protagonists in the works of the most prestigious artists worldwide, now is the time to start shining a spotlight on all those artists who strive to develop their work and expose it to the public. At the same time, a workshop begins in which attendees can learn "How to Create a Cultural Project." Starting at 5:00 p.m., this space will host the Poetry Showcase, featuring poets from the Poetry Slam scene, a sort of battle in which several poets have three minutes to present their creations, and the audience chooses their favorite.
Meanwhile, starting at 4 p.m., several roundtable discussions will take place in the same pavilion, in which professional photographers will discuss the current state of photography, covering topics such as its use on social media and its use through mobile devices.
At the same time, the Battle of Roosters Supremacy Final will take place on the stage in Hall 12, where participants will showcase their talent through verbal improvisation. A hip-hop competition in which ingenuity, improvisation, and speed are key to success.
Starting at 8:30 p.m., tattoo enthusiasts can attend the awards ceremony for the best tattoos created during the day. These awards will also be presented on Saturday and Sunday at the same time.
After the pavilions close at 9 p.m., it's the perfect time to enjoy La Isla de Mulafest and the rap and trap music that Jota Mayúscula, director of the acclaimed Radio 3 program "El Rimadero," will bring to the stage.
Saturday 23rd: Custom motorcycles, feminism, breakdancing, and more music
On Saturday the 23rd, the festival reopens at 12 noon. It's a great time to stroll through Hall 12 and see the Special Bike Cult pieces, a display of more than 50 customized motorcycles that are one of the biggest draws in the Garage area, whether you're a motorcycle enthusiast or not.
Next up, back in Pavilion 2, the 20 artists selected for the 1st Tuenti Urban Art Box Competition will continue their work, and their works will be included in the Mulafest Gallery.
The BBoying (breakdancing) championship, organized by Mulafest for the past five years and a huge success with both the audience and participants, will begin at 4:00 PM in Pavilion 12. Bboys and Bgirls will battle it out on stage without missing a beat, their sole aim being to beat their opponent on the ground.
At 6:15 p.m., a humorous feminist class begins: "Feminism for Dummies," where the master of ceremonies, Nerea Pérez de las Heras, will address the micro-sexisms we encounter in our daily lives. An acoustic concert by Mercedes Ferrer will begin in the same space at 7:30 p.m.
At the same time, starting at 7:15 p.m. in the Garage area, Alicia Sornosa, the only Spanish woman to have circumnavigated the world on a motorcycle, will give a talk about her adventure in Africa, a charity initiative to raise funds to create wells on the continent.
At night, starting at 9 p.m., when the pavilions close, the musical programming comes from La Isla thanks to Bandera Negra Day, an initiative launched by Ramiro McTersse (Ramiroquai), director of the Bandera Negra program, which covers musical styles such as hardcore, punk rock, and post-hardcore.
Sunday 24th: Cultural management, urban dance and music
The final day of the festival will also be packed with activities and music. In the morning, a panel discussion on Cultural Management of Urban Art Festivals will take place in the "Women in Feminine" area. Afterward, take the opportunity to explore the entire space, where you'll find various installations and exhibitions, including one by Mariví Ibarrola, a photographer from La Movida.
Starting at 4:00 PM, the stage of Pavilion 12 will host legendary freestyle battles in various urban dance disciplines. Artists who develop their dance in the urban environment will face off against their opponents with two important weapons: rhythm and creativity.
At night, music will be provided by three women from the Subterfuge label. MOW (Gabriela Casero), Cintia Lund, and Soledad Vélez will perform from 9:00 p.m. until the festival closes. Pop, electronica, and touches of folk combine in three unique ways of making music. A perfect closing party on La Isla de Mulafest.
